Rich worked for many years as a Drama teacher heading departments in four schools and colleges in London and in Wales. He is very well respected in the field of Drama Education and is a chief examiner for A Level Drama with the Welsh Joint Education Committee. His lecturing/directing experience includes Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Trinity St. David, Carmarthen. He is currently the Head of Acting for Simply Theatre Academy an International performance arts school in Geneva and Zurich.
Rich established Black RAT Productions with a genuine belief in creating accessible for young theatre audiences. His background in secondary education has led to excellent relationships with drama teaching colleagues across Wales. Black RAT always puts schools and colleges at the centre of their production choices and Rich is excited about THE 39 STEPS being the next production. It gives the company the opportunity to return to style they excel at. The physical nature of the show lends itself perfectly to any Drama curriculum or scheme of work being offered in school and Rich is enthusiastic about the opportunities for workshops and Q&A sessions that this tour will accommodate enabling the cast and audience to interact.
A fantastic choice for Black RAT Productions, THE 39 STEPS promises to be the hottest ticket for schools with this established modern classic touring to theatres near to their own locations. Spiffing!
