Graduating from the Guildford school of Acting in 2006, Sam has had the pleasure of working with superb masks and puppets of Strangeface Theatre Company (THE RAKE’S PROGRESS; PINOCCHIO), featured as an actor musician with companies such as The Guildford Theatre Company (JOURNEY’S END and OH! WHAT A LOVELY WAR!) and Flintlock Theatre (DON Q and THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR), dabbled with clowning and commedia del arte with Slingshot Theatre (THE NATIVITY AT CREAKEBOTTOM), donned frills and stockings for Artifice Theatre (THE WAY TO KEEP HIM and AN IDEAL HUSBAND) as well as multi-roled himself into a frenzy with Black RAT Productions (BOUNCERS and THE 39 STEPS).
Between his international roles of stunt clown, historical interpreter, illustrator and director in his own right, Sam also has over a decade’s worth of stage combat experience under his belt and has taught classes for The Royal Welsh College of music and Drama, The Watermill, The RSC and the National Theatre. He is delighted to be back in the black suit for Black RAT.
