Mistreated and exploited by humankind, the animals of Manor Farm rebel and take control. The animals prosper in utopian bliss until the pigs, elected leaders due to their superior intelligence, demonstrate signs of sinister behaviour... A satirical fable of epic proportions, Animal Farm delights. A wonderful array of characters and a message that truly resonates.

This new adaptation of George Orwell’s classic was devised by an exciting cast of new young actors as part of Black RAT Productions Theatre Summer School ’09.

With tours of A Zoo Story, Miss Julie, Oedipus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Bouncers behind us, Black RAT Productions is fast becoming recognised as a company that promotes established and emerging talent. The introduction of our summer school programme provides a much needed outlet for young actors who want to perform in drama with a non-musical theatre bias.

Theatre Summer Schools offer a tremendous opportunity for budding performers from across South Wales to work together to create a new piece of theatre.

Led by professionals, the experience is one of quality for the actors and audience alike.
